This novel was first published in the United Kingdom by William Collins & Sons in January 1927, set in London and Paris, is a detective and mystery novel and has 282 pages
About the author
Agatha Christie was born on 15 September 1890 and died in 1976 and is a British national, 
has written 66 novels and more than 150 short stories.

Context
In London (United Kingdom) the first broadcast of the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) is held between New York and London the first transatlantic phone call is made, in Paris, the Conference of Ambassadors accepts that Germany will fortify its southern and eastern borders, provided their disarmament is effective, in New York, the engineers of the Bell Telephone Company perform the first remote transmission of images.

Summary
Hercules Poirot confronts some unusual criminals. They are known as "The Big Four" and the detective will have to discover their identity before it is too late for humanity. The band's first mission is to get rid of their main enemy: precisely, Hercules Poirot. The notorious detective is the only person capable of getting ahead of the plans set up by the four villains to take over the world, and thus becomes the target of a myriad of ploys meant to eliminate him.

My opinion
I like the plot of this book because is very interesting and always you want ti know more about the novel
